The native currency of a monetary system of Bermuda is the dollar Bermuda which makes 100 cents. Denominations participate in a turn-over, of denomination of 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 dollars.
Before introduction the Bermudas pound divided for 20 shillings and 240 pence addressed to 1970 of a dollar Bermuda on Bermuda, equal to pound sterling. The gold content of Bermudas pound has been fixed IMF on December, 18th, 1946 in 3,158134 g of pure gold. At pound sterling devaluations on September, 18th, 1949 and on November, 18th, 1967 the gold content and parity to US dollar were changed according to pound sterling changes. Since February, 6th, 1970 the dollar Bermuda with a gold content of the pure gold of 0.888671 g, equal to US dollar is entered, its conformity with pound sterling made 2,40 dollars Bermuda - 1 pound sterling. Further the dollar Bermuda gold content was changed according to US dollar changes.

On the back denominations in 2 dollars are seated a map of the country and the boat plotting, in the note center there are the arms, dominating colour - lazurno-turquoise. On a denomination in 5 dollars the plotting of the arms, a beacon and a kind of capital of the Bermudas, primary colours - violet, lilac and orange are possessed.
On 10 dollars the plotting of an albatross and a cavity, and also the harbour and arms kind, dominating colours are seated: dark blue, azure and violet. On 20 dollars the coastal landscape, the bridge and the arms, fundamental colours - green, red and pink are represented.
On 50 dollars - ship-wreck, a galleon, a map of the country, and also the arms, prevailing colours - brown, red and yellow; on 100 dollars - a building of National assembly and parliament, and also the arms, fundamental colours: orange, brown.
In 2009, in honour of celebrating of the 400 anniversary of Bermuda, a new series of notes has been manufactured. It is remarkable that it is produced in vertical performance, with application of a polymeric film. In the left bottom angle of face side it is seated Elizabeth II profile, notes are executed in rich colours. As the basic plotting of face side serves: 2 dollars - east sial (bird); 5 dollars - the Atlantic blue marlin; 10 dollars - Bermudas blue fish-angel; 20 dollars - a whistling frog; 50 dollars - a phaeton with a red beak (bird); 100 dollars - the red cardinal (bird).
