Monetary unit of Republic the Cat-d'ivuar is the West African franc designated as CFA (CFA West - Financial community of the countries of the Western Africa) and manufactured Bank of the states of the Western Africa. In a cash turn-over there are coins in nominal values 1,5,10, 25, 50,100, 250 and 500 francs.

The West African exchange rate union combines seven West African countries, being simultaneously members of a franc area. The Union includes Benin, Burkina Faso, the Cat-d'ivuar, Mali, Niger, Senegal and Togo. Till 1973 the Union included Mauritania And Madagascar. The republic Mali left the Union in 1962 and again has entered in June, 1984 the West African exchange rate union is formed during the period when the countries entering into it were colonies and dependent territories of France.
