Republic Gyana Monetary unit is the dollar which consists of 100 cents. In a money turnover there are coins of denomination of 1, 5, 10 dollars.

In 1955 in Gyana coins of denomination in 1, 5, 10, 25 and 50 cents have been manufactured. Coins of 1 and 5 cents have been executed from nickel covered with a brass, other nominal values from a Copper-Nickel. In 1996, in high inflation, coins 1, 5 and 10 dollars have been entered. Coins of 1 and 5 dollars are rapped out from a copper-plated steel, and the coin of 10 dollars is executed from a Nickel-plated steel and has the heptagonal form.

The Obverse of these coins is decorated by the country arms, under it - an inscription, in transfer meaning One The people, one nation, one destiny. Decor of reverses at coins of all nominal values a miscellaneous: on a coin of denomination 1 dollar - a digital designation of nominal value and a rice ear on the opened palm; on 5 dollars - nominal value figure, sugar cane runaways; on 10 dollars - a nominal value designation, the gold mining plotting.
