The first paper money of the Netherlands and Portugal
In the Netherlands the first bank notes from a paper have been let out in Leiden in 1574 during a city siege by the Spanish armies. Actually it was not paper money, and mugs from the pressed paper, simulating coins. They were issued by face values from 5 to 30 shtyuvers. On the one hand, they have been let out because of a lack of a city of change money, and with another - have been directed for support of spirit of defenders and townsmen.
Actually in kingdom Netherlands the first banknotes in 1814 the Netherlands bank (Dе Nederlandsche has started to let out Vank) face values in guldens.
During the same time release of paper bank notes and in the Netherlands India (modern Indonesia) and in Surinam (the Dutch Guiana) in Central America has begun.
At the very end of 18 centuries - in 1797 the imperial exchequer in Lisbon has begun release of paper money in Portugal. Bank notes were issued by face values from 1200 flights to 20000 flights.
Since 1847 of a banknote lets out Bank of Portugal (Banco Dе Portugal): till 1910 in milrayses, and after 1910 - in escudo.
In the end of 18 centuries the Portuguese administration let out bank notes of different face values in Brazil. From the end of 19 centuries release of banknotes in the Portuguese India, Angola and other African possession was carried out
